In der Sterbepastoral haben sich mehr Ritualisierung, mehr Mut zur Inszenierung und ein stärker führendes Verhalten nach dem Leitbild des Orpheus wie eine systemische Blickveränderung bewährt. Spannend bleibt, wie es weitergehen kann. The author draws a resumee of 30 years of his work with dying people as a hospital chaplain. In four scenes, he illustrates the complexity of the space in which pastoral care can happen, in which the care-givers move, in which they open and protect the realm of the holy. The pastoral psychological and theological reflection is accordingly unfolded in three paradoxes. He has observed that an increase in the use of ritual, in the courage to take the lead in a situation, and in giving guidance after the example of Orpheus - has proven to be helpful, and this points to a change in the systematic perception. Is this the direction in which pastoral care with the dying will continue?
