Under the heading "Intercultural Theology", a reorientation of the subject of missiology has been debated for some time. The central questions are how precisely the content and methods should be described anew, and whether the old term should be completely abandoned or not. The present contribution describes such a new perspective in view of five dimensions, all of which deserve equal consideration. Despite proposing a significantly new orientation, it opts for a continuous embedding of intercultural theology within the tradition of missiological scholarship and teaching.
