Henry Fielding, Joseph Andrews
Fielding declared that he had invented a new style of writing with Joseph Andrews, the 'comic epic poem in prose', combining Romance and Burlesque with Realism and Ridicule. As with his Shamela, he 'wrote against' Richardson's Pamela, whose character he believed to be unnatural. Richardson never forgave him.A Pamela; B Joseph Andrews; C Interpretation; D Annotations(text in English)
