Im Gegensatz zu Deutschland wird die Inklusionsdebatte in Finnland weitgehend losgelöst von schulischen Strukturen und primär auf internationaler Forschungsgrundlage geführt. Die starke internationale Ausrichtung Finnlands zeigt sich auch in der Orientierung an den Forschungsfeldern Adapted Physical Activity (APA) und Adapted Physical Education (APE). Eine internationale Anbindung an den Forschungsbereich um "Sport und Inklusion" bietet auch dem deutschsprachigen Raum die Chance, diskriminierende Begrifflichkeiten und Kategorien zu überwinden und sich einem einheitlichen Begriff für inklusiven Sportunterricht anzunähern. Ein diesbezüglicher Blick auf Finnland soll Aufklärung über den aktuellen Entwicklungsstand im landesspezifischen Forschungsfeld Adapted Physical Activity /Adapted Physical Education geben und abschließend mögliche Anknüpfpunkte für die deutschsprachige Debatte um "Sport und Inklusion" skizzieren.
Internationally, there has been an ongoing debate on inclusion and the perspectives vary among different disciplines. While in Germany the concept of inclusion is closely linked to discourses of a structural reform of the school system, the trend in Finland is to educate more pupils with special needs in general education classroom settings. The strong international orientation of Finland becomes visible in research fields such as "Adapted Physical Activity" (APA) and "Adapted Physical Education" (APE). A closer look at international research may help to overcome social barriers of stigmatisation and discrimination in Germany. This article provides information about the role of inclusion and APA in a Finnish context and gives an overview about the key contents of the current APA study program in Jyväskylä.
