Wie verändert sich das Kirchenverhältnis evangelischer Jugendlicher vom Beginn der Konfi-Zeit bis zum frühen Erwachsenenalter? Diese Frage steht im Fokus der Post- Konf-Längsschnittstudie, deren Ergebnisse in diesem Beitrag erstmals präsentiert und diskutiert werden. Über fünf Befragungen zwischen dem 14. und 21. Lebensjahr werden komplexe Entwicklungsverläufe sichtbar : Die Zustimmungswerte zur evangelischen Kirche steigen während der Konfi-Zeit an und sinken in den Folgejahren kontinuierlich ab. Auf der Partizipationsebene kommt es zwischen dem 18. und 21. Lebensjahr zu einer verstärkten Distanzierung. Die inhaltsanalytische Auswertung der qualitativen Antworten verweist beispielsweise auf den Umzug als eine Sollbruchstelle im Kirchenverhältnis. Der Beitrag schließt mit Perspektiven für Kirchen- und Gemeindeentwicklung ab.
How does the church relationship of Protestant young people change from the beginning of the confirmation time to early adulthood? This question is the focus of the PostConf Longitudinal Study, the results of which are presented and discussed for the first time in this article. Over the course of five surveys between the ages of 13 and 21, complex developmental trajectories become visible: the approval ratings for the Protestant church increase during the confirmation period and decrease continuously in the following years. On the participation level, there is an increased distancing between the ages of 18 and 21. The content-analytical evaluation of the qualitative answers points, for example, to the move to another location as a possible breaking point in the church relationship. The article concludes with perspectives for church and parish development.
