Christlicher Glaube in Zeiten digitaler Kommunikation

Where, in the era of digital communication, the primary functional differentiation true versus false is increasingly being replaced with my personal point of view versus someone else's point of view, this significantly impacts the relationship between the individual and society, since the individual loses an important criterion for self-differentiation in the larger social context and society loses its basis for determining the nature of social cohesion. The primary functional differentiation my personal point of view versus someone else's point of view does not require consensus. The Christian faith, as a re-ligio, >connects back< to the Unconditional; it confronts digital connectivity with an alternative connectivity, grounded in God's faithfulness. Thus grounded, a person can gain emotional and cognitive perspective on digitally communicated information, can give shape to the world through spirit-oriented presence of heart and mind - something that cannot be replaced by an algorithm.
