The author describes how the 18 German speaking congregations in Great Britain form a synod of a congregationalist kind, where German pastors experience the interrelation between the local and the regional Church in quite a different way. Of course, administration, leadership and theology are also found here, but they interact in a way which differs significantly from the way in which the German Protestant Church and its "Landeskirchen" are operating. Maybe, the Church in Germany could learn from their congregations abroad.
