Religiousness is as present in society as ever before, however, churches need to better relate their traditions and conventional teachings to the factual religious desires and questions of the people today. In his commemoration speech for the late practical theologian Volker Drehsen (1949-2013) the author expounds this thesis he shares with Drehsen.
