Neu Die Relevanz des Landes Israel bei Paulus
Zeitschriftenartikel

The question of Israel's relevance as a land is not a Pauline question but a modern one. Nevertheless, in the light of Romans 4:13, it is possible to show through the Pauline concept of holiness, the significance of the temple in Jerusalem to Paul's theology and his understanding of salvation, that the land of Israel did not become spirtualized or deterritorialized in the apostle's thinking, but rather that earthly boundaries were dissolved, expanded and extended to the whole world. Because each person in every place is able to encounter faith in God through Jesus Christ, achieve salvation, become sanctified and thus measure up to God's holiness, it is therefore no longer possible to restrict God's faithfulness, election, holiness and presence to a particular territory.
