Neu Ein Recht auf "Liebe live"! Caritas in den Brechungen christentumsgeschichtlicher Kontinuität
Zeitschriftenartikel

The article shows how in the ancient and medieval church caritas or diakonia was almost inseparable from the church. First of all, it was the "Papal Church" and the religious congregations that became active in this field and naturally linked worship-liturgical and social- ethical activities. This process already leads to preforms of later hospital systems. Finally, using today's initiatives of the "Tafel" and a prison library in Münster, it is made clear how the participation of marginalized people in society could and should look today and that this is a matter of fundamental human rights.
