Public acknowlegement of Christian theology has been burdened in modern times by the problematic teaching of Christ's 'two natures'. This teaching has its origins in the early, Church' dogma of the Incarnation whose philosophical and biblical-historical assumptions have been examined critically, by modern theology. And yet one may ask, how can the justifiable concern of Incarnation doctrine, that is to grasp conceptually both the unity and the difference between God and Man united in Jesus Christ, be developed further? It seems as if we must follow the pretty useless alternative of God's action as myth on the one hand and the historical understanding of Christ on the other. Already Kierkegaard's Christology, which assumed both a narrative and existentialist picture of Christ, tried to withdraw from this alternative, and it is the figurative representation of God in Christ which is thus discovered in both its religious and fundamental theological function. Using the 'categorical semiotics' inspired by C.S. Peirce and a relevant religious philosophy, the effectiveness of a threefold act of representation can be systematized so that its structural unity can be clarified in academic thought and in everyday, and religious inquiries. The qualitative (creative) basic reference, the objective representation and the spiritual appropriation or interpretation, consist of the three irreducible building", elements in the actions of representation. The Trinity, is thus recognized as the basis of Christology; God's Creation represents itself in Christ thus: either as parables which experience the Kingdom of God in Him, or is present in the spiritual community 'Christological representation' as teaching and personal appropriation is the essence of creative productivity and the continuous dynamic process of the sign-as-event whereby, God is experienced and thought about in Christian tradition.
