Keiner Angst untertan - zur Freiheit eines Christenmenschen
Zeitschriftenartikel

The author is the Vice-President of the national administrative body of the German Protestant Regional Churches ("Landeskirchen"). He discusses how the not merely historical significance and political function, but the specifically personal relevance of the Reformation 1517 for today can be described. Faith in Christ in the Protestant understanding is presented as a fear-abating agent in the midst of a consciousness of the risks and dangers in society and personal life today. A number of characteristics of this kind of Protestant piety are sketched and termed "mild Christianity".
