Margot Käßmann, former chair of the Council of the EKD, looks back on the different stages of her career in German Protestant Churches, Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag and WCC. More than once being the first woman in a Church-governing position, she contextualizes her personal story with the change of roles and role models of women in Protestant Churches during the last 50 years, not omitting the backlashes that had to be overcome on that way.
