A contradiction arises if moral tolerance becomes morally justified: It is morally right to tolerate something morally wrong. Rainer Forst proposes a problem solution without turning to a non-moral conception of tolerance. According to Forst the paradoxical structure of moral tolerance could be solved by political procedures. However, the political dimension becomes an own type of reasoning, so that the moral dimension loses the priority. In the end, Forst's political solution leads to a non-moral reasoning of tolerance.
