Starting with reflections on the meaning of the term "internationalization" the article gives examples of an international horizon in German speaking Practical Theology (1). It then reflects on the genres that become important for an ongoing globalization of Practical Theology (2) and on the methodological issues at stake (3). Finally the author marks four problematic conditions as well as four promising functions of studies across national borders in the field of Practical Theology (4).
