Seit der Gründung des Jesuiten-Ordens kennt die Kirche eine ganz kompromisslose und klare Absage an jedwede Übergriffigkeit gegen Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene: die Regula tactus. Sie ist Ausdruck und Kulminationspunkt einer Grundhaltung des Respekts vor dem oder der Anderen. Die Regula tactus kann als Schutznorm verstanden werden, die vor Übergriffen schützt oder sie enttarnt. Sie bedeutet nicht Kälte, sondern enttarnt ambivalente Berührungen, Untersuchungen ebenso wie körperliche Zucht von Schutzbefohlenen als sehr bewussten Bruch einer zentralen Norm kirchlichen Handelns.
Since the Jesuit congregation was founded, the church has clearly and uncompromisingly rejected any sexual attacks against children, young people and adults through the regula tactus. This is an expression and culmination of a basic attitude of respect towards others. The regula tactus can be seen as a protection standard which emphasises the concrete untouchability. Today, the regula is prevalent well beyond the Societas Iesu and sees ambivalent touching, physical examination and corporal punishment of children and young people as a very conscious breach of a key pillar of church behaviour.
