In the Situation of shame the person constitutes itself und is equipped with freedom as responsibility. A personal ethic of shame tries to draw the conclusions from this insight in order to achieve a wise dealing with shame and to avoid the seemingly necessary entanglement of shame and guilt. Accordingly, a social ethic relevant to present times has to make transparent the ethic judgement und behaviour based on shame. Future culture historic shame-studies will call the disentanglement of shame from guilt moral revolutions.
