As a communicating community in a society with an increasingly diverse cultural encyclopedia, church and diakonia need the diversity of those who's job it is to spread the Gospel and the help it gives to life. The variety of cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, experiences and qualifications in a team of full-time and voluntary service communicators facilitates their involvement in a variety of religious communication situations because of their individual understanding of individual cultural encyclopedias. These teams are also most likely to build up the collective intelligence needed for change.
