Seit in der Bildungspolitik die Qualitätssicherung Vorrang hat, könnte es als unnötig erscheinen, Altenativen zum bestehenden Angebot zu entwickeln. Aber wenn unsere Gesellschaft ihrem demokratischen Anspruch (wirklich) gerecht werden und ihr Kernproblem der sozialen Spaltung und des Auseinanderdriftens lösen will, dann braucht sie Schulversuche, in denen Konzepte für eine sozial orientierte Bildung entwickelt und erprobt werden.
Since the 'quality-issue' took precendence in German educational policy, it might seem superfluous to develop alternatives to the existing offers. However, if our society wants to do (true) justice to its democratic aims and wants to solve its core problem of a pending social rift and drifing apart of different social segments, it needs laboratory schools, developing and testing concepts for an education adhering to the principles of the socially just.
