The article outlines and depicts the change in religious learning in modern society. It highlights the historical and cultural circumstances contributing to the transmission of Christian-religious practices and examines their development on the basis of empirical findings. Furthermore, it provides approaches for solutions and illustrates thoughts on religious education and its mediation that try to meet the needs of society in the twenty-first century.
