With digitalisation, the paradigm prevails of reducing people to informational organisms ('Inforgs') that share an environment of fundamentally informational character ('infosphere') with other actors. Howevee; if you take into account that people are also 'empathorgs', i.e, empathic organisms, this has important consequences (or the ethics of living together in the digital age. In the present article, this is unfolded with regard to the question of what it means to tell the truth. In doing so, the considerations on the question of truth developed by Dietrich
Bonhoeffer in the period of conspiracy and imprisonment are made fruitful for the digital present.
