ICPCC - die "Weltorganisation" der Vereinigungen für Seelsorge und Beratung - trifft sich im Zyklus von vier Jahren in verschiedenen Kontexten. Ausgehend von den Wurzeln der Seelsorgebewegung in den USA und in der "westlichen" Welt - mit Kongressen in den Niederlanden, in Canada, in Australien - zog es Delegierte und Gäste seit 1999 in Länder mit Einwohnern aus indigener Tradition oder mit anderen kulturellen Anbindungen. Man war zu Gast in Ghana, in Indien, in Polen und zuletzt in Neuseeland.
ICPCC - the worldwide organization combining the national and continental Associations of Pastoral Care and Counselling - has its Congress every fourth year. The "movement of Pastoral Care and Counselling" came up in the USA, - the first Congresses were held in the Netherlands, in Canada, in Australia - "western contexts"; but then delegates and guests turned to other hemispheres. Indigenous traditions and most different social circumstances gave a background for discussions on Care and Counselling. ICPCC went to Ghana, to India, to Poland, and this time to New Zealand.
