Gegen die traditionell dominierende Perspektive von Bildungsdebatten, zu klären "was" Bildung bedeutet oder "wozu" Bildung sein soll, plädiert der Beitrag dafür, nach der Möglichkeit von Bildungsprozessen in empirischer Wendung zu fragen. Einige Antworten auf die Leitfrage, "Wie ist Bildung möglich?", die u.a. eine Orientierung an der Psychologie oder an autopoietisch bzw. evolutionstheoretisch argumentierenden Theorien empfehlen, werden vorgestellt, diskutiert und als systematisch notwendig, aber für erziehungswissenschaftliche Arbeit nicht hinreichend beurteilt. Die Empfehlung an die Erziehungswissenschaft lautet, sich auf die Arbeit an einer pädagogischen Technologie der Bildung einzulassen, um eine eigenständige und anschlussfähige disziplinäre Perspektive zu gewinnen.
Contrary to the traditional predominant perspective of educational debates, which focus on the clarification of the meaning of education and on its use, the author argues for an inquiry into the possibility of educational processes based on empirical knowledge. Some of the answers to the guiding question of "how education is possible?", which advocate, among other things, an orientation by psychology or by autopoietic or evolutionary theories, are presented, discussed and shown to be systematically necessary, although they do not suffice for the education in order to achieve an independent and adaptable disciplinary perspective purposes of an educational science that should be open to the development of a technology of education in order to achieve an independent and adaptable disciplinary perspective.
