"Ziemlich beste Freunde" Freundschaft bei Jesus Sirach und in der Inklusion von Schülerinnen und Schülern mit Behinderungen
Zeitschriftenartikel

This contribution understands the reference to friendship in Jesus Sirach as an attempt to combine the social structure of Israel, which is based on the family and kinship ties, with the Hellenistic polis culture that is oriented towards publicity and free togetherness, and to integrate friendship (by choice) as an important aspects of social relations. This is analogous to the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular schools, who then leave their family context behind. Adopting Jesus Sirach critically, this contribution argues in favor of understanding friendship as a potential for important social relations in an educational context. In doing so, one needs to take seriously the painful limitations of students with disabilities in looking for and finding friends and use the potential of religious education, school service and school-based pastoral care as a means to developing friendships.
